Jammu, Dec 6: On the eve of 64th Death Anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) organised a function in its H.O at Satwari, Jammu today on 6-12-2020 in the chairmanship of Charanjheet Chargotra, (state vice president), where hundreds of party workers from all over the Jammu province assembled and paid rich tributes to this great icon. Speakers threw light on the life History of this great social reformer and architect of Indian Constitution. Terming Dr Ambedkar a great philosopher and social reformer, speakers appreciated for his contribution to the eradication of caste system without violence and bloodshed. He was a great economist, thinker and planner.
Dr BR Ambedkar passed away on December 6, 1956 at the age of 65. December 6 is regarded as the “Mahaparinirvan Diwas” which is observed nationwide observed to commemorate his unfathomable contribution to society and his achievements. Charanjeet Chargotra, while speaking on the occasion said, “ Modern India is result of hard work done by Dr Ambedkar.” Unity in diversity has been ensured by Dr Ambedkar while writing the constitution. |
