National online workshop on Research Methodology in Literary Studies begins

JAMMU, Dec 9: Three-day National Online Workshop on Research Methodology in Literary Studies from 9-12-2020 to 11-12-2020 being organised by by department of English, Central University of Jammu under the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ashok Aima was inaugurated by Dean, School of Languages, Central University of Jammu, Prof. Rasal Singh on 9th December, 2020. Prof. Aneel Raina, a distinguished academic from Punjab University Chandigarh delivered the keynote address. Welcoming the resource persons and participants, Dr. Vandana Sharma, Head, department of English gave a overview and objective of the workshop which is not only to familiarize the scholars with the specific aspects of the research in literary studies but also to address their concerns, anxieties and queries particularly during the current testing times. In his inaugural address, Prof. Rasal Singh complimented the initiative of the department of English and highlighted the significance of quantitative research envisaged by National Education Policy 2020. The keynote speaker, Prof. Raina spoke on Research in English as contribution to knowledge and dwelt over knowledge creation and research vis-à-vis NEP 2020. The session was followed by question answer session wherein the participants were given an opportunity to clarify their doubts and concerns related to research. The keynote address was followed by another highly significant talk on 'Online and Digital Tools for Research' by Dr. Joshith V P from Central University Of Kerala. Other prominent resource persons of the workshop are Prof. Roshan Sharma from Central University Of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Joseph Koyippally From Central University Of Kerala, Prof. Vibha Sharma from Aligarh Muslim University, And Prof. Monika Sethi University Of Jammu. Dr. M.A A Farooq delivered the vote of thanks.
