Crime Branch arrests two notorious absconders after 7 years

JAMMU, Dec 9: Crime Branch Jammu arrested two notorious absconding criminals for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy with other co-accused and luring and inducing the complainant and large number of innocent unemployed youth on the pretext of arranging jobs abroad and duping huge amount of Rs 21,50,000 from the poor ignorant youth of the remote hilly villages. The accused Kailashpati and Mukesh, both sons of Hukum Chand of Maslaie Dhandal, Tehsil and District Kishtwar were booked and wanted in case FIR No. 15/2013 U/S 420, 406, 120-B/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu The investigation of the case was closed as proved after allegations of cheating and criminal conspiracy were established against the notorious criminals and other co-accused criminals during investigation conducted by Crime Branch Jammu. Accordingly the charge-sheet was produced against them in the Court of City Judge JMIC Jammu. However, the accused persons were at large and evading their arrest since the complaint was lodged in the Crime Branch Jammu. The Court of City Judge Jammu had declared the two accused as absconders U/S 512 CrPC. The accused were constantly evading arrest by frequently changing location both inside and out of the UT of J&K, since FIR was lodged against them. Since the accused were not appearing before the Court of Law during the trial of the case, proceeding U/S 512 Cr.PC was initiated against them for their arrest. With meticulous planning and effective coordination by the Crime Branch team developed specific inputs regarding their presence and finally the chase ended with their arrest. The accused are being produced before the Court of Law for Judicial determination.
