| GDC Paloura observes “Human Rights Day” | | |

Jammu, Dec 10: NSS Unit of GDC Paloura (Mishriwala), Jammu organized Inter-College Online Quiz Competition to celebrate International “HUMAN RIGHTS DAY” 2020 on the topic “Human Rights and Duties”. The event was co-ordinated by NSS Programme officer Dr. Sanjay Kapoor (Assistant Prof. Chemistry). The aim of organising such an event on this day was to make students aware about the social, cultural and physical rights and to ensure the welfare of society in every possible context. This year theme of Human Right Day 2020 is “Recover Better-Stand up for Human Rights”. This theme relates to the COVID-19 pandemic and focuses on the need to build back better by ensuring Human Rights are central to recovery efforts. Students from various colleges of J&K (UT) participated in the online quiz competition enthusiastically. The Online Quiz Competition was organised under the guidance and patronage of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the College. She motivated and encouraged the NSS team to organise more such activities/events in future for creating awareness amongst youth through the digital platform during this COVID-19 pandemic period. E-certificates were awarded to the winners. |
