| Block of GHS Dalwas gutted after fire broke out | | |  TAHIR MUSHTAQ

RAMBAN, Dec 10: A block of Government High School (GHS) Dalwas gutted after fire broke out late last night in which 4 affected families of Dalwas landslide were residing.
After receiving information of the fire incident, locals alongwith police parties and other paramilitary forces launched a rescue operation and evacuated all the families from the fire site to a safer place.
After that fire brigade reached there and controlled the fire besides spreading it to other adjoining buildings of school. The affected families demanded their rehabilitation and livelihood from district administration as early as possible keeping in view of winter season.
Meanwhile, officers from district administration and police also visited the spot to access the loss and cause of fire. Tehsildar Ramban Rafiq Ahmed interacted with the families and assured them every possible help from the district administration. Pertinent here to mention that a polling station no 27 for District Development Council (DDC) Election was also established at the same school in another building. |
