12/11/2020 12:10:39 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, Dec 10: First Yoga and Naturopathy Center was opened in Jammu (J&K) where Romesh Sharma, CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K was the Chief Guest and Dr. KK Verma of naturopathy, Aqua Pressure/Aqua Puncture was the special guest of the program. Founder of Natural Medicine Center Yoga Guru Vijay Krishna Prasher Ji Maharaja and Director Shri Sudesh Sharma played a major Role in the foundation of the first Naturopath aqua pressure clinic in Jammu where people will get treatment without medicines. Prasher Ji Maharaja said alternative forms of medicine had gained importance with significant rise in lifestyle-related diseases. “A majority of the diseases can be prevented if we consume the right food and exercise or practice yoga,” he added. Traditional Indian knowledge systems, such as Yoga and Naturopathy, help us stay healthy. They guide us to overcome inherent weaknesses of both body and mind. These are systems, which treat individuals with care and respect. Their approach is neither intrusive nor abrupt. It often comes as a refreshing change to those used to conventional treatment therapies. Modern lifestyle takes a toll on the body as well as the mind. The focus of conventional systems of healthcare, unfortunately, is more on cure, rather than on prevention. There is no denying that we need conventional medicine to address the huge health challenges of today. But it is also a fact that there are gap areas that remain unaddressed. Healthcare specialists all over the world now appreciate the fact that systems like Yoga and Naturopathy can complement the conventional medicine system extremely well.
Dr Rekha Rani Malhotra is Chief Naturopath in the clinic with experienced Staff. Jagdish Sharma carried out the proceedings of the stage during the program in presence of various dignitaries present during the program.
