| Phase-VI DDC Polls: 143 Polling parties dispatched for Barnoti, Hiranagar | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Dec 12: District Election Authority Kathua, headed by District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Om Prakash Bhagat today dispatched 143 polling parties to Barnoti and Hiranagar which are going to polls tomorrow under the phase VI of eight phase District Development Council Elections. The polling parties along with security personnel left the premises of Government Degree College Kathua towards their allocated polling stations. The DPEO Kathua informed that 71 polling parties were dispatched to Barnoti and 72 to Hiranagar blocks in advance so that they can reach on time to their respective locations. He said provision of reserve polling staff has also been made to meet any exigency. He informed that out of total 143 polling stations established for phase VI polling, 13 polling stations have been identified Hypersensitive and 130 polling as normal.
He appealed the people to come out in large numbers to vote on the polling day. He said adequate measures have been taken to ensure that polling is held with full COVID-19 protocols.
ADC Kathua Atul Gupta; Dy. DEO Kathua, Micro Observers, Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates, Nodal Officers besides officers of Police were present on the occasion.
