BJP triggered unrest across country including J&K : Tara Chand
12/12/2020 10:43:23 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu , Dec 12: Appealing to people not to get swayed by “false propaganda” of the BJP and exercise their franchise against the “divisive, wrong and anti-people policies” of the BJP, Tara Chand assured that his party would continue to work for the well-being of the people, despite the “concocted and false propaganda” unleashed by the BJP against it. The Former Deputy Chief Minister was addressing meetings in Pargwal block in favor of DDC Candidate Suram Singh
.Urging people to reject the “politics of hate”, Tara Chand stressed that the Congress is the “guarantee” for development, peace and growth of common masses. In an apparent reference to the nullification of Article 370 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state into union territories last year, the Congress leader said the people of Jammu and Kashmir would never forget as to how BJP “victimized and punished” them under the garb of development, besides snatching their just rights in order to fulfill its agenda, based on “lies and deceit”.
Former Deputy Chief Minister said that the people of border areas are facing double hardships on account of unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations by Pakistan and the failure of the ruling dispensations to ameliorate their lot.
He said “the near absence of civic amenities and above all the missing much promised bunkers to protect the villagers from Pakistan firing is a tell-tale story of official and ruling BJP’s apathy. Majority of the villages still don’t have bunkers promised by the BJP Government.
Even the existing bunkers, residents rue, are either filled with slush or are not usable.” He said that by ignoring the interests of the patriotic people of these areas the BJP leadership has also exposed their hollow sloganeering about “Desh Bhakti” and nationalism.
He flayed BJP for betraying the mandate of Jammu by raking up only frivolous issues instead of discussing failure in providing jobs, depriving the youth and businessmen of 4G mobile internet services for over a year, snatching land rights and statehood.
Tara Chand said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were fed up with the “bluffs and failures” of the BJP Government and are suffering on all counts. He alleged that the BJP had gained power after “betrayal of the mandate” and its experiments cost too much to the peopleof J&K who lost their identity as a State besides all safeguards to their land and jobs.”He said that Congress party is the only unifying force which would fight for the rights of the people of the UT and appealed people to heavily vote in favour of Congress candidates to expose BJP Government and protect the policies and programmes which were initiated by the Congress for the welfare of the pluralistic, poor and downtrodden sections of the society.
The Congress Leader appealed the people of different shades of the society to come under the umbrella of Congress party in order to strengthen the social and secular fabric of the UT and ensure the overall development of each and every sections of the society. He was accompanied by PCC Gen Secy Balwan Singh, Suram Singh, Prabhu Singh, Romesh Verma, Jagattar Singh, Jagdish Raj Sharma among others.
