J&K chapter of Vidya Bharti Poorav to hold maiden alumni meet on Sunday

JAMMU, Dec 12: Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Vidya Bharti Poorav Chhatr Parishad will be holding its maiden alumni meet here on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference, Sudeep Sharma, Sanjyok, Vidya Bharti Poorav Chhatr Parishad J&K, on Saturday said, "we are going to organize first state level Alumni Meet on Sunday here in the premises of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Ambphalla."
He said that presently there are almost 10000 'Poorv Chhatr' of Vidya Bharti's in UT's of J&K and Ladakh working in the government, public and private sector.
"Poorv Chhatr Parishad is providing financial assistance for the education, health care and service to the needy people in their respective areas and in developing school infrastructure and human resource," he said adding, "Poorv Chhatr Parishad Council also felicitate meritorious students of class 10th and 12th alongwith the students who excel in different state and central service examinations and also those who excel in social life, business and other professions."
Poorv Chhatr are members of School Management Committee, School Academic Council and other committees thus helping in over all development of schools.
"We are proud to be the unit of Vidya Bharti's vision and mission and take pledge to make Bharat Vishw Guru again," he added.
Sharma said, "Vidya Bharti Poorv Chhatr Parishad J&K is State Unit of Vidya Bharti Poorv Chhatr Parishad, the largest Alumni of the world working with the mission of 'My School My Pride' having membership of 3,81,000 providing education, health care, and financial assistance to the needy and in developing school infrastructure and human resource."
Vidya Bharti Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan is the largest non-governmental Organization in the field of Education running more than 12000 educational institutions along with 13000 non-formal educational institutions, in which 32 lakh students are studying under the able guidance of 1.5 lakh teachers all over the country, he told reporters.
