| GDC Vijaypur organises awareness on energy conservation | | |

Jammu, Dec 14: Energy Conservation Day is observed every year on December 14.The day focuses on making people aware of global warming and climate change and promotes efforts towards saving energy resources. However, energy conservation is achievable either by using energy more efficiently or by reducing the amount of service usage. Most of the energy sources we use in our daily lives are non-renewable. Therefore, every individual must include energy conservation in their behavior to make energy conservation plan more effective as reducing energy use limits the number of carbon emissions in the environment which in turn produces a higher quality of life, Reduced emission results in cleaner air quality and help create a healthier planet or sustain the resources we already have. To commemorate the day, students and faculty members of GDC Vijaypur conducted an awareness campaign using posters and placards with inspiring , catchy, motivating slogans and quotes to inspire people and raise the awareness of the importance of energy conservation for the present and future generation. Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty members and exhorted that conservation of energy is an important step that needs to be taken to ensure that the coming generations live in a brighter tomorrow as there is no energy crisis, only a crisis of ignorance and conservation is merely a state of harmony between men and land.
