Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 14: Security forces have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from an encounter site where two Pakistani terrorists were killed and one Kashmir based was detained in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official spokesman here on Monday said that operation Chatapani on Mugal road concluded successfully with the elimination of two Pakistani terrorists and one terrorist associate of Shopian was arrested.
He said that the joint operation was conducted by Poonch Police and troops of Rashtriya Rifles while a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the site.
The recovery included two AK Rifles, 300 AK Ammunition, six magazines, five hand grenades, 300 grams RDX, two mobile phones and Thurayya set.
However, Jammu and Kashmir Police have also shared a video of operation on its Twitter Handle with a mention, "look at the difficult site where police led by district SSP and Army unit climbed and operated yesterday n neutralised two Pakistani Terrorists of LeT."
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Monday said, "we have got enough evidence to criminate Pakistan for not only training people but also for sending terrorist outfits to India to disturb the ongoing process."
This incident is also part of the same conspiracy, he said adding, "we will book the accused soon."
Singh on Sunday had said that an offer of surrender was also given to the terrorists, which included one local and two Pakistanis, but they opened fire on the cordon team which led to the exchange of fire."
Singh said that another attempt by Pakistan to send in Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists to Kashmir to disturb the ongoing democratic process of grass-root level elections shows its desperation with the huge participation of the Jammu and Kashmir people in the ongoing elections.
