YCET organizes webinar on "National Education Policy"

JAMMU, Dec 23: The Department of Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ) under IIC Cell of YCET organizes a orientation session on "National Education Policy 2020, Thrust Area: Innovation" for 3rd, 5th and 7th sem. Electrical Engineering students on 23rd Dec., 2020.
The session started with welcome address given by Er. Dinesh Gupta, HoD ( Computer Science & Engineering ) and President, IIC Cell. The resource person of the session was Dr. U. Chandrakumar, Assistant Professor, Pachaiyappa's College for Men, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. He revealed important information about the Principles of National Education Policies 2020 i.e developing ethical, human and constitutional values, insisting on multi disciplinary education, encouraging innovation, out of box ideas and also providing community participation. He emphasised on invention and innovation i.e creating a new product and adopting a new product to make tasks easier and faster.
The students were fortunate that they have got the opportunity to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert from the concerned field. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts of the organizing Electrical Department, YCET for getting the best out these opportunities, which are being provided under the well wishes of the YCET Management.
Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Srivastava, Director, YCET discussed with the students that one of the key objectives of National Education Policy is to improve employability among students by increasing their skill development. The session was conducted by Er. Shivangi Tandon and ended with the vote of thanks by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HoD ( Electrical Engineering ).
