Jammu Vishal Club defeated Cricket Academy -24 Panchkula enters final

JAMMU, Dec 23: Jammu Vishal Cricket club defeated Cricket Academy-24 Panchkula by 5 wickets in the ongoing Under-17 Christmas Cricket Championship and entered in final which is being played at Landran Cricket Ground (Kharar) Mohali in Chandigarh.
Batting first Cricket Academy-24 Panchkula won the toss and elected to bat first.Batting first Cricket Academy-24 Panchkula scored 210 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Saksham and Shoumik were the main scorers with 43 and 37 runs while Gyan and Ashmit Gupta contributed 29 and 27 runs to the total. From the bowling side Sachin and Achintiya took 2 wickets each , while Krishna Sharma, Arman Sharma and Dhruv Sharma took 1 wicket each for the team.
In reply Jammu Vishal Cricket Club chased the target in 35.2 overs by losing 5 wickets thus won the match by 5 wickets .Jahanveer Singh 31 runs, Arnav Gupta 30 runs , Achintiya Khajuria 28 runs, Rohan Gill 27 runs, Arman Sharma 25 and Shouraya Sharma 24 runs were the main scorers of Vishal Cluc Jammu. From the bowling side Girish took 3 wickets, Yuvraj Singh and Shoumik took 1 wicket each.
Achintiya was declared as man of the match.
It needs to mention here that the tour for the Jammu boys is being arranged by the Senior Cricketers of J&K and Members of the Indian Cricket Association in association with Vishal Cricket Club Jammu with the objective to provide platform to the J&K Cricketers so that they can exhibit their cricket talents and to improve their match temperament while playing with other state players.
The supporting staff of the Jammu Vishal Cricket Club includes Avinash Uttam as Mentor, Ankush Sharma as Coach whereas Davinder Sharma, Rajinder Sharma and Raj Singh Khadyal are the Managers in the supporting staff.
Tomorrow Jammu Vishal Cricket Club will face Champions Cricket Academy Chandigarh for the title trophy at the same venue.
