POONCH, Dec 26: National Development Foundation in collaboration with Mission Director, ICPS and with the support of the European Union, organised a one day training of Child Protection Committees of ten villages of Poonch at Conference Hall Dak Bungalow Poonch.
More than hundred members of CPC's were sensitized on Juvenile Justice Act-2015, ICPS and Child rights. Rajiv Khajuria, Founder Emeritus NDF and former member SCOC, Anwar Hussain Shah, Chairperson CWC, Kirpal Singh and Namarta members CWC, Sunny Kumar Manager NDF, DCPU Staff and Childline Coordinator Poonch also participated and interacted with the CPC members.
Rajiv Khajuria while interacting with the participants detailed the role of child protection committees for care and protection of children in the villages. Adding Khajuria said that the community based rehabilitation mechanism is an important component of ICPS scheme and CPC's can play a vital role in creating a child friendly environment in the village free from child labour, abuse and exploitation. |
