Director Finance Higher Education visits GDC Thannamandi

Jammu, Dec 26: Director Finance, Abdul Majeed Bhat along with his team comprising of Assistant Director Planning, Mr. Fayaz Ahmed, Accounts Officer HED, M. Hussain Tantray and an Engineer from RUSA. The team was accorded a warm welcome by the Principal GDC Thannamandi, Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi and other faculty members, keeping all the precautionary measures and SOP’S of the Covid-19 pandemic in mind.
While interacting with the visiting team, Prof. Qazi briefed about the various developmental projects of the college started in current financial year. These projects includes the construction of multipurpose hall, two additional class rooms, canteen besides overall renovation of administrative block, sports block including whole of college campus.
He has also discussed various other issues of the college like the construction of principal quarter, faculty quarter and girls hostel.
The director finance assured that new projects will be included in the financial year 2021- 22. Dr. Qazi Principal of the college further added that the process of online teaching and E-learning is going on smoothly Inspite of all the impediments . Moreover, the visiting team enquired about the allotment and the utilization of funds, which was explained rigorously by the Principal and the concerned staff/committee members of the College.
On the basis of given information the team made certain recommendations which were paid keen attention and noted down meticulously. The team also appreciated the work of the College administration while advising certain points of improvement.
The team also paid a visit to construction site along with the Principal GDC Thannamandi, Dr. Javaid Ahmed Qazi and faculty members including Dr. Khalid Rayaz (Staff Secretary), Prof. Nahim un Nisa, Dr. Shokit Ali, Prof. Mohd Shokit, Dr. Ibrahim lone, and other members of RUSA board and the supporting staff, to the site where the new building is being constructed by the J&KPCC and inspected the ongoing construction work.
During their visit, Director Finance, Ab. Majeed Bhat directed the agency to speed up the work for its early completion. At last, Principal GDC Thannamandi, Dr. Javaid Ahmed Qazi thanked the visiting team for the visit to the college and for solving the various problems faced by the college.
