Controversial GRS attached by ACD Kishtwar

Jammu, Dec 31: The controversial Gram Rozgar Sewak posted in Block Thakrie of Kishtwar District was finally attached by Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar following a complaint against him wherein allegations were levelled against him that he had drop the name of some voters from one Panchayat and shifted them to other Panchayat to give undue benefit to a particular person in Panch elections in Panchayat Anjol of Thakrie block beside he also did not enter the name of two sons of the complainant in voter list even after repeated pleas made to him by the complainant.
As per the details available with with Early Times, the influential GRS Shakir Hussain who faces several allegations of corruption including recently lodged complaint by the poor people of Keshwan B Panchayat wherein this GRS allegedly fraudulently draws Rs. 33 lakhs material payments from Panchayat Keshwan B against the name of some blue eyed person while in actual they have never supplied any material.
He is also accused of withdrawing material payments worth lacks on the name of Village Defence Committee member in violation of the rules and regulations.
As per the order issued by ACD Kishtwar Vide No. 35-ACDK of 2020 Dated 28-12-2020– “Pending enquiry regarding the complaint received in this office - Sh. Shakir Hussain Shah (GRS) Block Thakrie is hereby attached in this office with immediate effect. The salary of the official shall be drawn by the Block Department Officer Thakrie on the basis of attendance of this office.”
Surprisingly the ACD in his order also order for release of his salaries contrary to the fact that like over three dozen employees- this influential GRS has also been appointed without following the proper procedure and is on court order along with others who had been denied salaries by the RDD department since last two years despite court order while at the same time the department is releasing his salaries dispite the fact that he has several allegations of corruption against him.
