Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 1: Skyview Patnitop by Empyrean, Jammu's latest mountain adventure and lifestyle destination in the Himalayas, has expanded its offering of adventure activities by launching Mountain Terrain Biking (MTB) on January 3, 2021 in Sanget Valley, in the foothills of Patnitop in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The adventure and lifestyle destination's new vertical Skyview Adventure Valley after a meticulous survey of both Sanget Valley and Patnitop, identified multiple trails appropriate for MTB rides.
Patnitop, a fast developing tourist spot in UT J&K will for the first time offer visitors and adventure enthusiasts an organized and guided mountain biking ride.
This two hour, 14 km, ride will start from the Lower Terminal of Skyview Patnitop located in Sanget Valley and go along the same route as the gondola that connects Sanget to Patnitop.
The scenic ride traverses a winding uphill mountain road that passes quaint villages, farm fields and a pristine pine and deodar forest, till it reaches a mid-point and then makes its way back to the lower terminal. This is sure to enthuse thrill seekers for whom mountain biking is quickly emerging as a favourite adventure activity.
Skyview Patnitop by Empyrean has emerged as a leading promoter of responsible, mountain adventure and lifestyle tourism in UT Jammu and Kashmir thanks to its unique offerings, location, and hospitality.
"It is our endeavour to promote Patniop as a new holiday destination for the new age traveller in India. We, at Skyview Patnitop, are looking forward to introducing more adventure and leisure activities such as MTB, hiking etc,. Considering the recent pandemic, adventure and outdoor sport will attract more people who are looking for contact-less activities," said Syed Junaid Altaf, Managing Director, Empyrean Skyview Projects Private Limited.
The inaugural ride will be attended by MTB enthusiasts from Delhi, Jammu and Udmapur who have been specially invited for the event.
Looking forward to the experience, Mr SachinRustagi ? founder of Edify Sports, Delhi, takes pride in his endurance/athletic achievements such as Manali to Khardungla (Ladakh) thrice on his bicycle and has also participated in several marathons.
Mr Anil Sharma, founder of JK Randonneurs Jammu and a super randonneur himself, [randonneuring is a long-distance cycling sport with its origins in audax cycling in which riders attempt courses of 200 km or more, passing through predetermined "controls" every few tens of kilometres.
Rahil Gupta and Mineesh Gulati, founder UB - Randonneurs Udhampur along with nearly 25 riders will participate in this ceremonial ride and enjoy the sport of MTB in the mountain range surrounding Sanget Valley and in Patnitop.
Skyview Patnitop in partnership with Patnitop Development Authority has emerged as a hallmark project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model that is fast becoming the preferred tourism development structure.
