Jammu, Jan 1: With a mission to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Swach Bharat, former state president BJP and ex Minister Sat Sharma along with Corporator Ward 26 Hardeep Singh Mankotia started construction works of lane and covering of drains at Subhash Nagar area behind Purshottam Building.
The leaders were also accompanied by Mandal president BJP Raveesh Mengi, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) at an estimated cost of Rupees 7.30 lakhs and the funds were allotted to the Corporator. The leaders also toured adjoining areas as well and interacted with the public. Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that in today’s time when there is a dire need to maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness, it becomes the duty of everyone to aware others as well that how much important proper sanitation is important in these pandemic times and keeping in view the sentiments of the masses, the works were taken up in order to avoid public distress.
Hardeep Singh said that Ward 26 is sanitized in routine for keeping a proper sanitation system and it can be seen from the condition of various areas in the ward that cleanliness now prevails everywhere in all localities. He also talked about the developmental works that are to be taken up in the Ward in coming times.
Raveesh said that BJP believes on the agenda of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas” and will keep working for the welfare of masses on every front as for BJP, Nation comes always first and every citizen is on the priority.
Mandal General Secretary Sanjay Bhat, Mandal Secretaries Jatin Gupta & Rohit Gupta, Sudesh Sharma, Pritima Sharma, Sandeep Jamwal, Vicky Jamwal, Dutta family, Wali family and Kohli family and others were also present.
