JAMMU, Jan 1: ARTO Reasi Rajesh Gupta and his team conducted extensive checking of vehicles for the last two days on the routes of Katra-Panthal- Kakryal and Reasi-Talwara-Arnas-Jyotipuram to check the violation of traffic rules .
During the checking 19 vehicles were challaned and an amount of Rs 2 lakh was realized from the defaulters.
In 22 compound challans on spot an amount of Rs 26000 was also realized by the team. One motor cycle was seized at Police Station Arna for having no documents,a police official said.
The violators were booked for violations of traffic rules like overcharging, without-seat belt , helmet, pollution certificate, overloading in Passengers as well as Goods vehicles ARTO Rajesh Gupta also warned the operators to follow the MVA rules while plying the vehicles on the roads. |
