| R-Day arrangement 2021 discussed at Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Jan 8: The arrangements for the smooth celebration of Republic Day 2021 at District headquarter were today reviewed here at a meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ashok Kumar.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be organized in the premises of Government Degree College for Boys, Udhampur, where the chief guest would unfurl the National flag at 9:55 Am. The function would start with the Shehnai Vadan programme at 6: Am in the morning by the Information department.
The rehearsal would start from January 16 and the full dress rehearsal will be held on 24th of January.
The ADDC advised all the concerned departments to keep in view safety and security of all participants by adhering to the COVID-19 SOPs.
The ADDC directed the PHE & PDD functionaries to ensure seating, barricading and drinking water arrangements, besides uninterrupted power supply at the venue. The Chief Executive Officer, Municipality was asked to maintain cleanliness in the town as well as at the venue.
Regarding First aid arrangements, the Chief Medical Officer was directed to make deployment of one ambulance along with a team of Doctors and necessary medicine till the end of the function.
The District Police and Traffic Police would ensure security and traffic management, the ADDC added. Different committees like Reception Committee, Illumination Committee, etc were also constituted for the successful celebration of the national function.
Among others present were Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan; Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan; ACR Viqar Giri and other senior officers of Civil and Police Administration, besides officers of CRPF. |
