| BSS distributes Solar Lights among needy, poor villagers | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Jan 28: The Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS), Jammu and Kashmir today distributes Solar Lights to the needy people of village Dabrah Krimchi Udhampur.
The Programme was organized at Saraswati Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Krimchi district Udhampur by Sunil Badyal District Management Committee Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti Udhampur .
In this programme about 30 solar lights were distributes free of cost among the needy students who were faced difficulties during the power cuts to continue their studies in the night time .
The Programme started with lightening the lamp by chief guest Sunil Badyal District president Management committee Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti Udhampur and amid reciting of Saraswati Vandana.
Speaking on the occasion Sunil , said that We have 36 schools across J&K and Ladakh UTs, and the solar lights will be distributed at these places",
In this distributions about 8077 solar lights worth about Rs 1.8 crore were earmarked to distribute among the students hailing from BPL families of J&K and Ladakh UTs", he added
Susheel Thakur Principal of the said school thanked all the dignitaries and State office bearers along with all members of School Management committees for spending there valuable time in the Programme .
Chand Mittal Secretary District Management committee of Bhartiya ,Shiksha Samiti Udhampur, Yashpal Surpanch village Debrah , School Management Committee members, staff members and prominent people of the area were also present on the occasion. |
