JAMMU, Feb 6: With a view to tighten noose around absconding criminals, who are on continuous run to evade their arrest and face the investigation or trial in the Court of law for judicial determination, Crime Branch Jammu has been acting tough against them by initiating proceedings for declaring them as proclaimed offenders U/S 82/ 83 Cr.PC through the Court of Law.
Earlier non-bailable warrants U/S 512 Cr.PC were issued against them for their arrest. Since these offenders of law have been continuously dodging the police and other agencies by frequently changing their locations to avoid their arrest, need for adopting further stringent measures was felt and action as warranted under the legal frame work was initiated by Crime Branch Jammu against the offenders (accused) and the Court has declared following criminals as Proclaimed offenders U/S 82 Cr.PC:
1. Mohinder Chand S/O Bittu Ram R/O Roop Nagar Jammu , involved in case FIR No. 37/2003 U/S 420,471/ RPC 138 of NI Act of PS Crime Branch Jammu,
2. Rakesh Kumar S/O Tara Chand R/O H.No. 43/04 Trikuta Nagar Jammu, involved in case FIR No. 261/2000 U/S 420, 467,468, 406,201,120-B RPC of PS Pacca Danga Jammu.
3. Suram Chand S/O Baij Nath R/O H.No. 92, Shanti Nagar Jammu, involved in case FIR No. 09/2005 U/S 420, RPC 138 of NI Act of PS Crime Branch Jammu.
4. Sukreti Gupta W/O Suram Chand both residents of H.No. 92, Shanti Nagar Jammu, involved in case FIR No. 09/2005 U/S 420, RPC 138 of NI Act of PS Crime Branch Jammu.
5. Jagmohan Singh S/O Narinder Singh R/O Indra Nagar Miran Sahab Jammu, involved in case FIR No. 36/2013 U/S 420,467,468.471,120-B RPC r/w section 5(2) PC Act Svt. 2006 of PS Crime Branch Jammu,
6. Shiv Dayal S/O Dhannna Ram R/O Blaser A/P Bishnah, Jammu, involved in case FIR No. 19/2007 U/S 419, 420,467,468.471, 120-B RPC of PS Crime Branch Jammu.
7. Narender Kour D/O Ranbir Singh R/O H. No. 175 Sec-13 Nanak Nagar, Jammu, involved in case FIR No. 54/2007 U/S 419, 420,467,468.470, 474, 34/RPC of PS Crime Branch Jammu,
8. Sat Pal @ Vishal S/O Amru Chand R/o Ampur Majalta Tehsil Ramnagar, Udhampur involved in case FIR No. 18/2004 U/S P/S CBJ.
