GMC Anantnag has no money to repair ambulances!
Of 3, only 1 vehicle is on road, says Medical Superintendent

ANANTNAG, Feb 6: The authorities at Government Medical College Anantnag have failed to repair ambulances as if the college have no money.
The ambulances are lying dysfunctional from September month of last year and since then the Principal Medical College Anantnag hasn't got the vehicle repaired. "Out of three, only one vehicle is playing and currently being used to ferry patients to Srinagar," officials at Maternity and Child Care Hospital Anantnag told Early Times
On 16th of last month, the Deputy Medical Superintendent Maternity and Child Care Hospital Anantnag had informed Principal Medical College Anantnag that the hospital has three ambulances and out those two were off the road due to technical problems.
"I would like to intimate your goodself that there are only three ambulances at M&CCH Anantnag. Out of three ambulances only one is on the road and the other two ambulances are off the road," reads an official communiqué, a copy of which lies with Early Times.
This communication duly signed by Deputy Medical Superintendent M&CCH Anantnag Mir Ji Andrabi reveals that ambulance bearing registration number JK03G-0177 is off the road since 25th of September 2020 and another vehicle bearing registration number JK01AF-5813 is also off the road since 2nd of January 2021.
"The authorities at GMC Anantnag including Principal Medical College aren't paying any attention to our communications. They ignore our requests with the results people are suffering," an official claimed.
They said that the requisition letters of Maternity and Child Care Hospital Anantnag were being thrown into dustbin.
"We don't have enough heating arrangements here, even intensive child care units don't have modern heating gadgets," they said, adding ACs weren't being repaired or damaged equipment weren't being replaced.
Officials said that despite the fact the government continues to release huge money for Government Medical College Anantnag but on ground it isn't being utilized for upgrading the facilities for patients.
