JAMMU, Feb 6: Shiksha Niketan Senior secondary School, Jeevan Nagar Jammu organised an online competition for preparing "Cancer- Prevention videos" on world cancer Day on Feb 4.
World cancer Day aims at saving millions of preventable deaths each year through awareness and education about cancer .World cancer Day is observed on 4th of Feburary every year world cancer Day is being celebrated since 2000, when it was first established at the world cancer summit against cancer for the New millennium in Paris. It was on 4th February, 2000 that the 'Charter' of Paris against cancer was signed by the General Director of UNESCO and then French President.
This year too, the 4th of February was observed as the "world cancer Day"
All the students of class 2nd prepared a video each on the topic prevention against cancer. As per their teacher's guidance, all the students performed very well. The competition was performed under the guidance and supervision of coordinator of class- 2nd , Balbir Kour. |
