GDC Chenani releases maiden issue of College e-magazine 'Reflections'

UDHAMPUR, Feb 6: Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Govt of J&K, Talat Parvez Rohella today launched the first issue of the College e-magazine (Reflections) of Government Degree College (GDC), Chenani. The Additional Secretary, HED, Sanjeev Rana was also present on the occasion.
The magazine, a 208 page compendium with a vivacious and energetic style focuses on the facilities available at the campus, achievements of the students and of the institution, articles, poems and embodies the mission, vision, values and principles that GDC, Chenani adheres to. The magazine features the updates and resources pertaining to the real-world scenarios in and around the town of Chenani which the Institution and its stakeholders take pride in.
The Commissioner/ Secretary, Rohella highly appreciated the efforts of the Institution in bringing out the publication and opined that it would motivate and empower the students for reaching their full potential.
Dr Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College proudly announced that the whole digital content and software stratagem to frame it in the present form has been done by the faculty and students of the College without much external help.
The e-format gives complete content velocity control via scroll and progression to the reader. The display format of the magazine is accessible via browser or link on any computer, laptop or mobile device and removes the cost and complexity of using multiple digital publishing software tools or the need for individual digital newsstand mobile apps.
The magazine was compiled and edited by Prof Ajaz Ahmed Dar (Chief Editor), Prof Sunil Kumar, Prof Ajaz Ahmed Bhat, Prof Sajad Ahmed, Prof Palvi Thakur and the student editors Shalu Sharma, Arun Kumar and Simran Thakur.
