DC, SSP take first dose of Covid-19 vaccine at DH Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sargun Shukla took their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine here at District Hospital Udhampur.
Both urged everyone to take vaccine at their turn to bring life to a normal routine and contribute to end this pandemic. Deputy Commissioner & SSP Udhampur also spend thirty minutes in the observation ward along with other beneficiaries as per the protocol, where both were also provided with the provisional certificates for getting first dose of Covid-19 vaccination by the Deputy Chief Medical officer Dr Simmi.
The DC also took the assessment of vaccination session going on there in the District Hospital and expressed his satisfaction.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr KC Dogra also briefed Deputy Commissioner about the achievements so far made in the Covid 19 Vaccination. He apprised that District Udhampur is at 2nd place in completing targets of first dose of Covid-19 Vaccination in the Union Territory with a total 2713 out of registered 3575 Health Care Workers & 3846 out of 7353 registered Frontline Workers having been vaccinated till 16th of February, 2021 from 16th January, 2021 the launching date of Covid-19 Vaccination program. He said the Department has also started administration of second dose of Covid-19 vaccine to Health Care Workers those have completed 28 days after getting the first dose. He further added that Covid-19 Vaccination is being carrying out simultaneously in all the block headquarters.
Special sessions for Frontline Workers with all the precautions while following guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) Government of India were also scheduled for ease of vaccination at CRPF Camp Roun Domail, ITBP HQ & Sher –i- Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur.
Medical Superintendent District Hospital Udhampur Dr Vijay Raina, District Health Officer, Dr Yaseen Malik, Dr Chanderkanta & other medical officers were also present during the vaccination.
