Medical camp organised at migrant camp Muthi

JAMMU, Feb 18: A Mega Medical Camp was today organized here at Migrant Camp Muthi by Relief Organisation (M) Jammu in collaboration with Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu.
The camp was jointly inaugurated by Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Jammu, Medical Superintendent of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu in presence of Deputy Medical Superintendent of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu, Principal Government Mixed Higher Secondary School, Muthi Camp, Camp Commandant Muthi Camp and other officers from Relief Organisation (M) Jammu.
This was first of its kind wherein medical checkup was organized keeping in view Covid-19 Pandemic.
In the said camp Ayush Immunity Booster and some other medicines alongwith free consultation was provided to over 450 beneficiaries residing in the Muthi Camp.
Dr. Vandna Dogra, Medical Superintendent, while speaking on the occasion said that the department of ISM with the active support of Ministry of Ayush has been organizing such camps throughout the length and breadth of Jammu District, wherein free medicines and consultation to the needy persons is being provided. Dr. Vandna Dogra also highlighted the role of Ayurveda in chronic disorders and informed that Ayurvedic Medicine with modern support such as the latest tests has proved the savior of humanity.
Deputy Superintendent Government Ayurveda Hospital Jammu also spoke on the occasion and highlighted various achievements which have been made in various camps oganised by the department.
Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Jammu while speaking thanked the officers and officials of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu who were instrumental in organizing the camp at Muthi in the shortest possible time.
It was further said that around 5000 migrant families residing in various camp locations would be covered under this outreach programme which has been initiated by Ayush Department under the leadership of Directorate of ISM.
