Early Times Report

Rajouri, Mar 4: A teacher attached at Government Middle School here for the past 2 years has not joined a new place of posting despite a detachment order issued by Chief Education Officer Rajouri.
Sources told Early Times that Chief Education Rajouri had issued a vide order no. CEOR/E2/ 43826-30 dated 23-2- 2021 of detachment of Master grade teacher Naseem Akhter in compliance with direction issued by the Director School Education Jammu to relieve all the attached teachers but till date she has not woken up from deep slumber.
The teacher has remained attached for the past two years in a middle school at Ghai Kalal Kass Zone Baljrallan.
This is not the only case in Rajouri district, there are many such teachers who have not complied with the orders issued by the CEO Rajouri. “The CEO Rajouri has been proved a very weak administrator, who hardly has any control over the teachers in his district,” they alleged.
They further said that there are hundreds of Government Middle Schools, which are headless and hundreds of posts of Master Grades are lying vacant in these institutions. The Master grade teacher in question has been drawing her salary from Government High School Sankari- 2 where three posts of Masters are already lying vacant and in Higher Secondary School Sankari- 1 where the CEO Rajouri had directed her to join two posts of Masters are also vacant.
When Early Times contacted Director School Education Jammu, she said that all CEOs are under directions to treat such matters as the cases of unauthorized absence from duty and action required under rules will be taken by the concerned Chief Education Officers.
Despite repeated attempts CEO Rajouri Gulzar Hussain could not be contacted.
