| Self supported, light weight mountaineering expeditions to be organized | | |

Jammu, Mar 5: Indian Mountaineering Foundation, the apex body for mountaineering and allied adventure sports in the Country, shall be organizing a number of self supported, light weight mountaineering expeditions during the year 2021.
These IMF sponsored expeditions shall be conducted primarily to unclimbed peaks in newly opened and less frequented areas but may also be organized on previously climbed mountains from new routes. Since the aim of these expeditions is climbing plus all technical climbing and logistics above base camp will be managed by the team members themselves.
Accordingly, Indian Mountaineering Foundation has invited applications for selection for these expeditions from only those mountaineers who have done basic/Advance Mountaineering Course from any recognized national / State Mountaineering Institute and have participated in at least one mountaineering expedition above 6000/ 7000/8000m as a leader/ lead climber or a climbing member and are below the age of 29 years as on 31st December,2021 besides being physically fit in all aspects.
