DC Kishtwar reviews progress for implementation of RR Plan of Pakal Dul HEP Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Mar 5: With an aim to review the progress in the implementation of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Plan at Pakal Dul Hydro-electric Power Projects, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired the meeting with the concerned district officers and project authorities in VC room DC office Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by CAO SK Bhagat, DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma, Xen PHE Anil Kaylu, Xen PWD Marwah Mohd Aslam Lone, Xen PWD Sub divison Kishtwar Ramesh Jamwal besides other concerned officers remained present in the meeting.
In the meeting the first hand apparaisal of the developmental works projected under the RR plan was discussed threadbarely.
DC Kishtwar took stock of the progress in the implementation of the various rehabilitation and resettlement works which includes the construction of Hospital building amounting to Rs 353.25 lakhs at suid Dachhan for which amount has been released.
On the issue of construction of 2 passenger shed , a Community hall at Kwar tangi and construction of Dachhan house at Kishtwar Xen PWD was directed to submit the DPR and so that technical sanction is processed immediately and the work could be taken up in due course of time.
For the construction of community halls at Soundar and Panjdhara undertaken by PWD the meeting was informed that money has been released and the work has been started.
On the issue of shifting and realignment of 11KV line and construction of receiving station and upgradation of infrastructure for PAFs Xen PDD informed that 15% work has been completed and with the resumption of favourable weather conditions the rest of the work will be completed in stipulated time frame.
Besides this, the status on the remodeling of Soundar Kuhl, nagar Kuhl, renovation of 1000 mtrs chicha Dachhan Kuhl and providing of the drinking water supply facilities to PAFs of kwartangi and additional water lifting irrigation facility at Kishtwar was also reviewed in the meeting.
DC Kishtwar informed the meeting that the funds for Water sector among others have been released besides Xen PHE was directed to expedite the pace of work so that the work could be completed in time bound manner.
For the timely completion of the construction work of veterinary Dispensery at kwar Tangi and Dachhan besides the construction of Dipping vats at Dachhan and kwartangi the executing agencies were asked to submit the DPR immediately.
DC Kishtwar further directed CAO to expedite the work on the construction of Common Demonstration centre amounting to Rs 72 lacs besides he was impressed upon to identify the land and and submit the DPR immediately.
Stressing upon the upgradation of tourism sector and sports potential of the youths of the affected areas DC Kishtwar directed DYSSO Kishtwar to submit the DPR for the construction of the play fields at GHSS Soundar and Yaywag sirchi Dachhan which is estimated to be prepared at total cost of Rs 110 lakhs.
Besides he asked CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Pawan Parihar to take up the execution work on the construction of Common Facilitation centre and recreational Parks at Soundar and panjdhara respectively.
