JAMMU, Mar 5: A day-long convention of Social Welfare Committee of Jawahar Nagar, New Plot, Jammu Ward No. 16 was held under the chairmanship of Harbans Lal Sharma in the Office Chamber of the president to condole the demise of Ex-President Mangat Ram who died suddenly on December 8, 2020. All the speakers said that the unity of this Mohalla should remain intact as it is from 1980 when this colony was established with the initiative of Lt. Mangat Ram (Ex-President) of Social Welfare Committee.
It was also resolved that post of President be filled up soon to safe guard the interests of the people of Jawahar nagar, New Plot.
All the members of the Welfare Committee unanimously nominated Rajan as President of Social Welfare Committee, Jawahar Nagar, New Plots, in place of the deceased.
President Rajan nominated Rameshwar Dutt as Vice-Chairman, Dr Tara Chand Dogra as Senior Vice-President, Surinder Singh (Mangu), Harbans Tandon, Ram Lal (Kala), Davinder Singh (Bunty) as Vice-President, Ajay Vaid as General Secretary, Chaman Lal Mehra and Ranjeet Singh as Secretaries. |
