Policeman kills wife, in-laws with service rifle

JAMMU, Mar 9: A policeman posted as PSO with a senior advocate of J&K High Court, killed three persons including his wife and her parents late this evening with his service rifle, in Phallian Mandal area.
Posted as PSO with Advocate Abhinav Sharma, the cop reached at the home of his in-laws, as his wife had gone to her parents after a some quarrel with her in-laws and the husband.
"Ravi Loch alias Rajinder Kumar, resident of Gajansoo Marh, a policeman, reached his in-laws house in Phallian mandal area. He enquired about the family from locals and then he entered the house of his in-lawd, suddenly the cop opened fire on the family members, first of all he killed my father and then he fired upon my sister and later he killed my mother", said brother-in-law of the accused cop.
The deceased persons have been identified as Seema Devi, wife of the cop, Romesh Kumar his father-in-law and Raj Kumari his mother-in-law.
"He also tried to kill me as well but I escaped", the brother-in-law of the accused cop said, adding that during the seven years of her married life, his sister faced harassment and abuses from his drunken husband.
"Recently, he brutally thrashed my sister, and she along with her two children came to our house, my father was vegetable vendor. He entered our home like a terrorist and opened fire with his service rifle on us", he said.
Official sources said that the Satwari Police in regard have registered a case against the cop and hunt was launched to nab the cop. "The cop has been arrested from Gakansoo area by the Satwari Police and further investigation in the case is going on", sources said.
Meanwhile bodies have been taken to GMC for autopsy by the Police. A large number of relatives who reached on the spot were demanding action against the cop and her family for hatching conspiracy against the helpless family to eliminate them.
