Block Diwas observed across district Ramban

Ramban, March 10:- To reachout to the public in remote and far-flung areas of district, District Administration Ramban, today conducted Block Diwas in five designated blocks which were presided over by the senior officers.
BDC Chairpersons, PRIs and general public from various panchyats attended the Block diwas held at block Sangaldan, Ukhral, Banihal, Ramban and Batote.
At Ukhral, SDM Ramsoo, Dil Mir Choudhary alongwith block and subdivision-level officers attended the diwas.
During one-to-one interactive session, a lot of issues and grievances pertaining to various departments were put forth before the SDM including water supply, repair of damaged school buildings at UPS Panchal, opening of health centres, shortage of staff at UPS Barthyal, opening of Aadhar enrollment centres, augmentation of water, power supply system etc.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Ramsoo and Ukhral issued RBA, Domicile certificate and other category certificates on-spot to applicants besides sensitizing the people about other departmental activities.
BDO Ramsoo also briefed the public about COVID-19 vaccination programme for people of over 60 years age and motivated them to undertake the same.
SDM directed the officials of the concerned department for redressal of the grievances in a time bound manner. He assured the public of full cooperation from all the departments for mitigation of their issues at their doorstep.
The SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abass Bhat also attended the Block Diwas along with PRI members, Tehsildar , BDO, ZEO, TSO and other Officers.
Responding to the issues raised by the public, the concerned officers of Education, Jal Shakti and Health departments resolved most of the issues on-spot. SDM Banihal directed all the officers to remain punctual and work with dedication to serve the society.
The main issues which were highlighted by the villagers at Sangaldan included potable water facility for Sangaldan and providing better services to sheep breeders by the SHD in hassle- free manner.
