DC Udhampur reviews functioning of Revenue Department

UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: In order to review the functioning of Revenue Department in the District, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today convened a meeting of all revenue officers and field functionaries at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur.
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Viqar Giri gave a detailed power point presentation and highlighted physical and financial achievements of Revenue department in District Udhampur. He also appraised the DC regarding progress of documents scanned, status of mutations, writing of pending Jamabandies, domicile certificates issuance status, removal of encroachments etc.
While reviewing the progress of Jamabandies, DC directed the concerned to complete all the Jamabandies within set timeline. She emphasized to expedite the updation process of Jamabandies and scanning/ quality check of revenue records as per the targets.
She further directed the revenue officers to update their revenue records especially Jamabandies in mission mode to ensure that the digitization is completed in a time bound manner and people can avail the benefits of the programme.
The DC exhorted upon the officers and field functionaries to work as team with closed coordination for better results and public service delivery to the people. She also instructed the Revenue officers to follow the timelines of disposals for services under PSGA and RTI in letter and spirit and dispose off issues in time bound manner.
The DC asked the officers to facilitate the public for applying of domicile certificates with the help of PRIs besidesTehsildars were asked to create awareness among the general public regarding domicile certificates and SEHAT scheme in the larger public interest.
The DC directed the Revenue Officers to initiate removal of identified encroachments over State/Kahcharai/Common land. She directed the revenue officers for the preparation of list of government assets and other revenue related record of their respective areas by maintaining a proper revenue village record register.
She asked for regular field touring by all Revenue Officers, submission of tour dairies and it must be ensured that availability of revenue officers remain in field and in patwar halqas. DC directed all Sub Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars to start anti-encroachment drive in a focused way.
Among others, Regional Director Survey & Land Records, Nawab Din, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohd Syed Khan, all SDMs, Collector Northern Railway, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars were present in the meeting.
