Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 1: Opposing the decision of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust Council of 10 per cent hike in salaries of its employees, Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) on Thursday said it is against the aspiration and demands of agitating employees.
Talking to reporters, Working President DTEA, Rajinder Shastri condemned baseless statement of Dharmarth Trust Management in which it stated that Council Members held several rounds of meetings with employees' representatives and other stakeholders prior to making recommendations for salary enhancement.
He said the employees' delegation only met once with the Advisory Committee of the Dharmarth Trust headed by Prof Vishwamurti and submitted a memorandum to them highlighting their demands.
They demanded for constitution of Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and salary to all employees on pattern of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board's rules and regulation.
He also hit out at Prof Vishwamurti for joining Dharmarth Trust despite knowing of misdeeds of the trust.
He questioned Prof Vishwamurti is he not known the misdeeds of Dharmarth Trust which include selling trust land to non Hindus, worst condition of temples under Dharmarth Trust. He said that corrupt practices of the trustee and council members were responsible to ruin temples under Dharmarth Trust. He strongly alleged Trustee for selling thousand of Kanals of land, building belonging to different places to non Hindus they sold old office of Dharmarth Trust namely Ranbir Bhawan which was the land and property of Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir. He said the mismanagement by Trustees has created strong resentment in general public and specially in Hindu community.
He added that Trustee sold multi-lakh Kanals of land belonging to different places and different temples and even they lifted treasury of Shri Raghunath Temple and also lifted Neelam Shivling from Shiv Nav Temple, Mubarak Mandi.
He asked Prof Vishwamurti to redress the issues of employees on priority to save the Dogra culture and Sanatan Dharam which is in danger due to misdeeds of trustee.
