EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Apr 1: Poonch Smasher defeated Poonch Thunders in the final match of first Poonch Premier League cricket tournament 2021, organized by Parvaiz Malik Afridi, chairman Ehsas Foundation Poonch. In a closely contested match, Poonch Smasher batting first made 154 runs in 20 overs, chasing the target Poonch Thunder made 153 runs and lose the championship by only 1 run.
In the final, Shaban got man of the match price whereas, Shezad and Mannu got best bowler and batsman award respectively.
Rajindar Singh Toofan and Istiaq Ahmed officiated the match, Singh and Manzoor were the scorer of the tournament. The winner team got the cash price of Rs 150,000 whereas runner up got Rs 100,000. Parvaiz Malik Afridi thanks all guests, administration, owners, umpires of the tournament and players for their full support and cooperation.
The closing ceremony was organized by organizing committee in Sports Stadium Poonch where DDC member Sohail Malik was the chief guest whereas Additional SP was the guest of honor.
