| SCCU honoured by voluntary organisation | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: In a function organised by 'Mission Peace and Compassion, healing the wounded humanity' (a voluntary organisation), Senior Citizens' Club (Regd) Udhampur was honoured by founder and Director Rev. Fr. Robert Yesudeep Sandhu among other social organisations.
Speaking on the occasion President of the Club Mahadeep Singh Jamwal said that such programmes are the necessity of the hour that gives vision and directions to head towards creating an atmosphere of World Peace and only then can humanity develop and prosper. Peace is the important thing for any country or people to be happy. Peace will not harm anybody.
Jamwal said that the issue of war and peace has always been a focal issue in all periods of history. The concern of the humankind for peace can be assessed by taking into account the fact that all religions, all religious scriptures and several religious ceremonies are committed to the cause of peace.
The Shanti Path recited by Hindus, the sermons of the Pope and the commands of all the Christian, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and all other communities hold out a sacred commitment to peace. The message to serve the society and needy was dispensed on the occasion. |
