JAMMU, Apr 2: Director Command Area Development (CAD), Jammu conducted an extensive tour of Udhampur district today regarding the field channel works.
Director CAD, Jammu Rajinder Singh Tara visited Panchayat Kashira, Charri, Kawa Lower, Kawa Upper and Thanoa. He interacted with Sarpanchs and Panchs about the CAD activities. The Sarpanchs and Panchs discussed in detail about the problems being faced by the farmers of the area regarding water logging in the area and also demanded construction of field channels so that the available water can be better used for the farming activities. The Director instructed ASCO Supwal to survey and make a detailed report of the works to be taken to mitigate the problems of the farmers. Chief Agriculture Officer CAD, Sanjay Verma and ASCO Supwal, Sham Gupta accompanied the director in the tour. |
