AJHLA hails allotment of land to TTD

JAMMU, Apr 3: All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA) hailed the decision taken by the Administrative Council under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor of J&K UT, Manoj Sinha in approving the proposal for allotment of 496 Kanals and 17 Marlas of land to Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) for building a replica of Tirupathi Balaji Temple and its allied infrastructures, Pilgrim amenities Complex, Vedapatsasala, Spiritual/Meditation Centre. The chairman of the hotel association, Inderjeet Khajuria welcomed the initiatives taken by Government of Jammu and Kashmir in right direction for increasing the religious tourism.
Pawan Gupta, President of the hotel association praised the steps being taken by J&K Government in bringing the tourism sector back to its track and allowing the construction of a replica of a Tirupathi Balaji Temple in Jammu which will certainly boost the tourist footfall in Jammu.
Jammu could not become an independent destination and simply remained as transit camp as the tourists/yatries cannot stay more than a day because of temples in and around Jammu are not sufficient for attracting the tourists to spend three or more nights in Jammu.
He appealed to the government to expedite the completion of all the mega pipeline projects like artificial lake, historic mubarak mandi complex,development of Suchetgarh border on the pattern of Wagah-Attari border, upgradation of Raghunath temple on the pattern of Golden temple of Amritsar, development of Surya Putri banks similar to Sabarmati, construction of musical water fountains with light and sound system at Bagh-e-Bahu garden and development of recreational park at Bhagwati Nagar.
Other office bearers present in the meeting were M L Sharma, Anil Khajuria, Pritam Sharma, H S Manhas, Baldev Raj, Swarn Singh, Sankul Gupta, Manpreet Singh, Nishant Gupta, Varun Gupta and Sunil Suri.
