Orientation programme held for Chowkidars, Lambardars at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Apr 3: As a part of 75 week long Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations, an orientation program on Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme was organised for the chowkidars and lambardars of district Kishtwar, here at Conference Hall DC office Complex.
The programme was held under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma.
ADC Kishtwar Pawan Parihar; ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch; CMO Kishtwar Dr RS Manhass; Chief Agriculture Officer, S K Bhagat, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Nayeem Iqbal Sheikh,Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramood Kumar besides lambardars and chowkidars participated in the programme.
During the programme chowkidar and lambardars were educated about the various initiatives taken by the govt for digitization of land and revenue record in the district.
Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Nayeem Iqbal Shiekh gave a detailed presentation on the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP) besides its various components, like computerization of land record, scanning of revenue document, Digitization of the Jamabandis and Masavi, survey and resurvey of land, observation of DGPS, installation of CORS and cadastral information system among others.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC Kishtwar highlighted the benefits of the digitization of land records. He said that the digitization will minimize the scope of land disputes by bringing greater degree of transparency in revenue records. He said it will also preserve the old land records for generations to come. He further informed that digitization of land records will facilitate the farmers, land owners and different stakeholders to access the land record through a single window system at just a single click.
On the occasion sensitization regarding the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and vaccinations was also conducted. During the programme CMO was directed to arrange on the spot vaccination of all the chowkidars and lambardars those above 45 year mage who attended the programme today.
An interactive session with the lambardars and Chowkidars was also held at the end of the programme.
