Webinar on 'Career after Graduation' held

JAMMU, Apr 3: : GLDM Degree College Hiranagar today organized a webinar on 'career after graduation' under Manodarpan initiative of Ministry of Education, Government of India in collaboration with College IQAC.
Ambica Kumari, Assistant Professor in Psychology, P.G. College for Women Gandhi Nagar and nodal officer Career Counseling Cell, Higher Education Department J&K, was the resource person of the event.
While delivering inaugural address, Principal Prof. Kuldeep Singh Koushal said that Manodarpan-an initiative is taken by human resources development under Atam Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. It is actually aimed to provide psychological support to students, teachers and family members for their mental health and well being during the times of COVID-19.
Ambica Kumari explained different courses and career aspects of students after graduation in her presentation. She further shared her experience and knowledge regarding success with participants. She encouraged students to explore new career options in the job market. She also highlighted the importance of psychometric testing before choosing any career option. She also highlighted new career opportunities that emerged during COVID and Post COVID period. More than 100 students and staff members of the college virtually attended this webinar. An intensive interactive session followed the lecture.
