Residents of Block Miran Sahib meet Sarpanch Maralia
4/11/2021 12:06:37 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Apr 10: A group of citizens today met Anju Rani, Sarpanch, Halqa Panchyat Maralia, Miran Sahib and expressed their deep concern over no system in place for waste management in this Panchyat. During meeting, they brought to her notice highlighting the mismanagement of waste material by the inhabitants due to non availability of waste disposal system. Due to this reasons, the people in the area have no other alternative but to throw the waste and dirty drainage water into the Ranbir Canal passing through this area. The dumping of waste material and other dirt in the canal is creating hygienic problems leading to heath issues, especially during fast growing Covid-19 cases in the second wave.
A representation was also handed over to the Sarpanch, who gave a patient hearing in the matter and assured of appropriate action for waste disposal to save Ranbir canal from getting polluted further.
