Dost Dost Na Raha

Early Times Report
jammu, Apr 10: Even as once arch-rivals, former Chief Minister and National Conference President, Omar Abdullah and Peoples Conference, President, Sajad Lone had opted for friendship in the formation of the so called Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, the bonhomie doesn't seem to have lasted after some recent developments.
Sources said the recent exit of the senior leader, Basharat Bukhari from the NC and his joining the PC have put the cordial relations to an end. Sajad had already left PAGD.
Sources said Basharat leaving NC to join PC has come as a "major shocker for the so called grand old party" which apprehends more such exits in future.
Sources said Omar is "working on a serious plan to prevent any of his party leaders from quitting the NC" and that Sajad Lone is being seen as "head hunter."
"When you resort to head hunting and dare to take away leader from other party into yours, there is no space left for any further cordial relations," said a political observer privy to the developments, on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said Omar meeting Sajad in future meetings looks impossible as the two are believed to be not in touch anymore.
It is pertinent to mention that Omar and Sajad have long been seen as rivals who shared bitter relations in the past.
"These two politicians have resorted to public mudslinging onto each other in the past and Twitter has been witness to that war of words. There being friends in Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration was only to mislead to people of Kashmir," said the political observer.
It is pertinent to mention that after announcing his exit from the PAGD Sajad managed to get support of leaders from NC and the Peoples Democratic Party or PDP.
"In the past also some PDP leaders had joined them(PC) so that was not that big an issue but NC leader joining them (PC) was a big issue and the grand old party must have taken it to its heart," said one activist close to the two parties.
