NCC holds series of events to commemorate 1971 victory

SAMBA, Apr 10: In order to commemorate the 1971 victory of India during the ensuing Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebration various events were organized by NCC wings (SD & JD) of 4th J&K Bn NCC Govt Girls Hr Sec School Jakh (Samba) under the aegis of Directorate of NCC JK and Ladakh. A Symposium was organised in school premises wherein NCC Cadets made speeches on the valour, heroic skills and professionalism shown during Indo-Pak war. ANO Gulshan Sharma while speaking on the occasion gave detailed genesis of the war and glorious outcome in the history of Indian belt forces where 95000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered before mighty Indian Forces. Caretaker Ajay Singh Charak also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the same. A cycle rally was also organized which was flagged off by Principal of the school, Sudesh Kumari. The main motto of the cycle rally was to carry out the message of Shaurya Gatha of Bhartiya Sena. Rally passed through Jakh town, Chandala, Rahya Morh, Rajinder Vihar and culminated at Ranjari at the statue of martyrs NK Rifleman Swarn Singh Bhadoria and NK Rifleman Kuldeep Raj.
