Early Times Report
CHENANI, Apr 13: The NSS Unit 'PRAYATNA' and 'The Cell for celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' of Govt. Degree College, Chenani launched the third Covid-19 Vaccination Awareness Campaign on 12-04-2021. The team visited the area in and around the village Ghantwal, Tehsil Chenani and interacted with the local population.
The campaign intended to take the message of vaccination plan and COVID appropriate behavior around the region with the aim to take the government's communication to people's doorsteps.
The NSS Program Officer, Prof. Sunil Kumar and Prof. Ravi Kumar visited the area along with the NSS volunteers to address the vaccine apprehension that may arise amongst the general public because of concerns around vaccine safety, efficacy and any other myths and misconceptions.
Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College opined that such communication approach will further steer the spirit of the Prime Minister of India through 'Jan Andolan' or People's Movement such that the citizens feel confident to engage and participate in the vaccination process.
She further stressed that COVID Appropriate Behaviours (CAB) must be followed not just during and after vaccination but even otherwise, and also by the people not getting the vaccination in the initial phases.
