Childline Department holds awareness camp at GDC Thathri

DODA, Apr 17:- To aware the general public, students and children about the working of Childline and rights of children, an awareness camp was today organised by the Childline Department and ICPS Doda here at Government Degree College, Thathri.
At the awareness programme the students were sensitized regarding child helpline toll free Number 1098.
They were asked to feel free to call children number 1098 when any child is found in distress and danger or in any bad situation. They should immediately contact childline Doda so that timely help could be provided to the child. Also any one can visit the office of the Childline which is running in Deputy Commissioner office Doda in Collaboration with the Red Cross Society.
The camp was attended by Principal Govt Degree College, Basharat Iqbal Mirza, Professor Sudesh Kumar, Professor Satpal, Professor Zahoor-u-din, Professor Dr Vijay Kumar, Professor Dr Niaz and other staff and college students.
The Childline Coordinator aware them about their work and regarding toll free no 1098. They were also told to keep social distance, wear face mask, maintain hygiene, wash hands frequently to safeguard yourself and your family from deadly Covid-19 infection.
