Worries ahead of BJP as Tikait reaches Jammu

Jammu, Apr 17: After visiting different parts of the country to mobilize farming community, Bharatiya Kissan Union (BKU) spokesman and one of the leaders of the ongoing farmers’ agitation Rakesh Tikait reached Jammu.
Although he was here to visit the residence of former Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Manmohan Choudhary to condole the demise of his wife, Vijay Choudhary, Rakesh Tikait gave a veiled warning to the Union Government.
He claimed that not only farmers of other parts of the country were in touch with him but he was also approached by farmers of Kashmir in general and apple growers in particular to visit Valley for their support.
“Apple growers of Kashmir have invited him to visit the Valley to take up their issues”, he said and revealed that “Apple growers of Kashmir Valley have recently approach for a visit so that their issues would also be taken up with farmers of the other parts of the country”.
“We were planning to conduct an extensive tour of J&K to interact with farmers of this region due to situation that emerged after the second wave of Coronavirus and ongoing farmers’ agitation at Delhi the programme has been postponed”, he said.
He said apple growers of Kashmir have approached him to take up their issues but he has told them that he will visit Valley along with the farmer leaders of Jammu in the future.
