3 gamblers arrested in Jammu, cash of Rs 4610 recovered : Police

JAMMU, Apr 17: Police in Jammu on Saturday said that it has arrested three gamblers and recovered from them cash of Rs 4610.
A police statement issued on Saturday said "a police party of Police Station Domana headed by SHO P/S Domana Inspr Mahesh Sharma assisted by I/C PP Chinore SI Avtar Krishan Choudary during patrolling duty in Bantalab area received an information about the gamblers being there and found three gamblers along with Rs. 4610/- stake money and one deck of playing cards".
Stating that all the gamblers were booked under sections 3/4 of Gambling Act, the police in it's statement further said " the accused arrested have been identified as Sanjay Sharma S/o Madan Lal R/o Jourian Teh Akhnoor Distt Jammu A/P Basant Palace Bantalab Jammu ,Balwant Sharma S/o Mohinder Lal Sharma R/o Jourian Teh Akhnoor Distt Jammu A/P Basant Palace Bantalab Jammu and Bittu Singh S/o Ranjeet Singh R/o Bantalab near R.P School Jammu A/P Basant Palace Bantalab Jammu
The police in it's also said that the overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul. Further investigation of the case is going on.
