GDC Chenani organizes webinar on “Role of Music in Times of Anxiety”

Chenani, Apr 26: Govt. Degree College, Chenani under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and Psychological Counseling Cell, organized a webinar on “Role of Music in Times of Anxiety” on 25 April, 2021. The program was organized online because of the second wave of COVID-19.
The sole purpose of program was to introduce the role of music in our life and especially at the time of COVID19. Music gives human beings an entertainment and relaxation when they feel exhausted. The beautiful rhythm of classical music not only can release our stress, but also can bring us immense pleasure. Music is an important part of our life as it is a way to expressing our feelings as well as emotions. Sometimes people use music as a way to escape from the pain of life. It develops the mind and boosts self confidence.
The event has been registered by more than hundred students. The keynote speaker of the program was Ms. Jasmeet Kour, a well known Hindustani Classical Singer presently working with A.I.R. She explained to students of the college that how music helps to relax ourselves, make us stress free and provide positive vibes to face the challenges. She also introduced the students with some Ragas.
Dr. Pragya Khanna Principal GDC Chenani interacted with the students on online mode and explained the benefits of listening of light music to students of the college. The program was organized by Prof. Ravi Kumar and Prof. Palvi Thakur.
