Day long assessment camp for persons with Disabilities held at Khoon

UDHAMPUR, Apr 27: A day long assessment camp for persons with disabilities was conducted today by the Social Welfare Department Udhampur in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) here at Block Khoon.
Around 25 beneficiaries with different types of disabilities, identified with the help of PRIs on the occasion were cheeked at the camp held under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer, Priyanka Sharma. Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Ramnagar made the participants aware about the schemes of social welfare department. He also appealed the people to submit their Aadhaar card in the office of TSWO Ramnagar for further continuation of their pension benefits. He appealed to the PRIs to submit their lists of expired beneficiaries so that more and more pensions cases may be sanctioned against wedded out.
During the camp, he briefed about various departmental schemes like prematric/ postmatric scholarships, State Mariage assistance etc and appealed all the participants to come forward and to avail maximum benefits of these schemes.
Among others, Sarpanch Panchayat Dhamma Majalta,Sunita, representative of Team ALIMCO, Nisha Munditya besides prominent citizens were present.
